Advantage III Quick Start Guide.

How to update Advantage III.
After clicking on the “Update Advantage” icon from your desktop, the SCT Update Client will open up. Make sure that the dongle is plugged in.
The Update Client will first download any Software Updates that are needed. Next it will prompt you to “Check for Processor Code Updates”, click Yes.

When complete, place a check mark on the items you would like to download or simply click on Yes when asked if you'd like to “Select all available updates”.
When the download is complete, you can start Advantage III. This will open and run the software.
Advantage III. (Database Error 0)- Step by Step on how to fix the error.
On the error 0 fixes, Run the command prompt (Search CMD from start menu) with Admin permission (Right click the command prompt and select Run as Administrator)
You will need to copy and paste one of the 2 commands below, based on which system you are currently using.
X86 systems:
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\SCT\Advantage III\XceedSco.dll"
X64 systems:
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files (x86)\SCT\Advantage III\XceedSco.dll"
You should get the following message:
-(DllRegisterServer in C:\Program Files (x86)\SCT\Advantage III\XceedSco.dll succeeded.) Once you hit “OK” you may go ahead and open Advantage and you will be all set.
If you get the message:
-The module "C:\Program Files\SCT\Advantage III\XceedSco.dll" failed to load.
Make sure the binary is stored at the specified path or debug it to check for problems with the binary or dependent .DLL files.
-The specified module could not be found.
This simply means that you selected the incorrect system and will need to attempt the other command prompt

How Do I Get Custom Tuning Software for my SCT Tuner?
There are two types of custom tuning packages available.
- As a consumer, you can purchase a Pro-Racer Package, which will allow you to use our software to tune one vehicle. We do not sell this particular package directly, you can purchase it from one of our custom tuning dealers or distributors. You can locate one here.
- If you own a shop and want to become a Custom Tuning Dealer:
- You will be required to be approved as an Authorized Reseller first. Click Here for more information about becoming a reseller
- Once you are approved, One of our Account Managers will reach out to you to discuss the best options for your business.
- New Custom Tuning Dealers are required to meet a minimum first-time buy-in of $2500. (All software and product purchases will be applied to this buy-in.)
