I know the product has more or less always had datalogging capability for EEC-V cars, and to get the chip version a typical user was looking at a $75 upgrade from those with the flasher version.
My situation is this. I own a 1995 GT in terrible need of tuning. I've just picked up the wonderful wideband kit by zeitronix, and now I am shopping for a tuning product. I already have a SCT 4 position chip, however the vehicle tunes on those positions perform worse than without the chip enabled.
While the PRP product seems like a great deal for EEC-V owners, it seems its almost penalized for EEC-IV users to be even considering it. We have to pay $75 more, don't get any datalogging capabilities. At the pricepoint of $575 its nearest competitor is the tweecer R/T in my case, which has the advantage of datalogging capability and would tie in well with the existing wideband.
I'm just looking for some information on why I should be looking into this product instead, I've been following the SCT product family since the company started, and every friend of mine who has inquired into tuning either has a flasher or chip now.
I understand the PRP product to be changing in the near future, however, I am looking soon to get the car uned so I can get back to enjoying it instead of having to do 30 things to keep it running.
So uhh yeah, can someone sell me on this thing?
