    Hi,

Has the above have a built in boost controller, will it hit and hold the target boost every time?

    Boost control

    Hello

What ever boost levels the ECU requests will be met, as long as they are with in capability and tolerance of the turbo, boost control valve and other engine components.

The DSF3000 does not have a built in boost controller, this is requested by the software (Advantage III) when flashing a new tune.

The only issue I have at the moment is on hard acceleration the car is cutting and going in to safe/low boost mode. I have spoken to the dealer and they sent me a file to load on to the dsf, which i have done but I'm still seeing the same problem. I know that there is at least one other RS which has the same issue. I have bought a apexi avcr which the dealer has kindly said he will fit for me when he replaces the fuel pump in january. Overall I'm really happy with what has been done and can't wait for the uprated fuel pump and boost controller to be fitted. There is a lot of interest on the RS owners site to this, I did post the link on my other thread.

      Here's my power figures

here's the car on the rollers

                Hi Jarad,

Right I've done a couple of runs today, I'll mail the files shortly. I'm sure that the target boost and a little more is being made on hard acceleration. If you keep constant and gradual pressure on the throttle the car will hit and hold the target boost (EA said it was just under 1 bar) if you floor the throttle the car will hit and continue past the target boost in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th, the car will do one of two things....light the eml light and throws up fault code P0234 engine overboost, or will drop in to safe mode and will not boost past 0.5 bar of boost until the ignition is switched off and back on again. I'm not too concerned as the AVCR will be fitted shortly and the boost will be controlled more accurately in each gear.

I may have ticked to many boxes when i done the logs....
